Elect Equality gives voters a clear, easy way to hold candidates accountable, and we'll keep adding new ERA certified candidates as we evaluate new applications.
Washington, DC, 10/08/2026 – The ERA Coalition is proud to announce its first batch of ERA Certified candidates through Elect Equality, a powerful tool that puts informed voting directly in voters' hands. 39 candidates who have shown their dedication to and support of the Equal Rights Amendment. They have expressed that support not only to the Coalition through a candidate questionnaire, but to the public as well.
For four election cycles in a row, the Coalition's interactive platform has helped voters check where their federal candidates stand on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and gender equality, so they can make an informed choice before heading to the polls.
ERA Certified candidates who have committed to the Equal Rights Amendment speak up in favor of it, incorporate it into their campaign policies, and support ERA legislation. They advocate for the ERA and gender equality during their campaigns and when in office.
"We have a chance to elect a Congress that will affirm the Equal Rights Amendment and make sure the ERA is finally recognized as the 28th Amendment to the U.S Constitution. Elect Equality is a powerful tool for voters to know where their candidates stand on the ERA ahead of the 2026 election” said ERA Coalition and ERA Coalition Forward President and CEO Zakiya Thomas.
The ERA Coalition is thrilled to recognize these leaders who take action. Additional candidates will be certified on a rolling basis, and voters can check back for updates as Election Day approaches.
