Washington DC - The "Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections" Executive Order is a direct attack on voters, our Constitution, and our democracy
By directing the U.S. Postal Service to only deliver ballots to people on a government-approved list, this Executive Order strips states of their authority over elections and silences millions of eligible voters.
Plain and simple — we fought for and won our right to vote. Everyone deserves to have their voice heard.
We believe in the power and permanence of constitutional protections — they are binding principles that must be respected and upheld. This is precisely why we fight for the Equal Rights Amendment, which enshrines sex equality as an unshakeable right in the U.S. Constitution.
WHO USES MAIL-IN VOTING
Mail-in voting is used by Americans of every background, party, and region:
- Nearly 1 in 3 voters used a mail-in ballot in 2024 — over 48 million votes
- Seniors (65+): Nearly 40 percent voted by mail
- Republicans: 1 in 5 voted by mail
- Democrats: 1 in 4 voted by mail
- Rural voters: 1 in 4 voted by mail
- U.S. Military & Citizens Abroad: 905,343 mail ballots cast in 2024
This is not a partisan issue. Restricting mail-in voting hurts everyone.
We must stand against this unconstitutional overreach and protect every citizen's right to vote.
