Delegate Jennifer Carroll-Foy
Delegate Jennifer Carroll-Foy is a criminal defense attorney currently representing Virginia’s 2nd House of Delegates District. In January of 2020 she successfully carried the ERA in Virginia, giving us the 38th and final state needed for ratification of the ERA. In April 2020, she announced her campaign for Virginia’s 2021 gubernatorial election. She would be the first Black woman governor of a U.S state.
Jamia Wilson
Jamia Wilson is the executive director and publisher of the Feminist Press. She is the author of Young, Gifted, and Black, Big Ideas for Young Thinkers, ABC's of AOC, and Step Into Your Power, coauthor of Road Map for Revolutionaries, and wrote the introduction and oral history of the historic Women's March-- to Together We Rise: Behind the Scenes at the Protest Heard Around the World.
Soraya Chemaly
Soraya Chemaly, author of Rage Becomes Her: The Power of Women's Anger is an award-winning writer and media critic whose writing appears regularly in national and international media including The Atlantic, The Nation, Verge, Quartz, TIME, Salon, The Guardian and The New Statesman. She speaks frequently on topics related to inclusivity, free speech, sexualized violence, data and technology. She is the director of the Women’s Media Center Speech Project an initiative dedicated to expanding women’s civic and political participation.
Ilyasah Shabazz
Ilyasah Shabazz is a advocate for women and girls, educator, activist, motivational speaker, and author of four award-winning publications: Growing Up X, Malcolm Little: The Boy Who Grew Up to Become Malcolm X, X, a Novel, and Betty Before X. She promotes higher education for at-risk youth and dialogues to build bridges between cultures for young world leaders, and participates on international human rights delegations.
Ashley Sawyer
Ashley Sawyer is Director of Policy and Government Relations at Girls for Gender Equity. At GGE she improves the lives of youths of color through city and state policies, coalition work, and legislative advocacy. She was previously a staff attorney at Youth Represent, and developed and facilitated Know Your Rights workshops for youth on Rikers, in New York City Schools, and community-based organizations.
S. Mona Sinha
S. Mona Sinha is a passionate advocate for the rights of women and girls. She has parlayed a career in finance, marketing and restructuring to work at the intersection of social change and women’s leadership. Mona works with organizations to develop capacities to uplift women and girls across different sectors. She is co-founder of Raising Change, which coaches mission-driven organizations to raise resources for social change. She is Chair of the board of Women Moving Millions, a board member of the ERA Coalition and Executive Producer of Disclosure, a film on the representation of trans peoples.
