A note to let you know that many legislators attending the State of the Union tonight will be wearing the classic green ERA buttons worn for years by supporters. Last year our DC Director/Director of Outreach and Advocacy, Bettina Hager, rushed the pins to the members and we got iconic shots of the newly elected Democratic women wearing white--and our pins. This year Congresswoman Jackie Speier, who sponsors HJ Res 79, the bill to remove the time limit that will be voted on next week in the House, is bringing back that trend. With our Lead Organization member Feminist Majority, we delivered. Be sure to watch and please send us photos and videos. Great to have this symbol of equality worn by the women and men of Congress.

(Washington, D.C.) Feb 4, 2020 –
The ERA Coalition, together with Coalition member Feminist Majority, has once again delivered hundreds of iconic green ERA YES buttons to members of the House of Representatives in time for the State of the Union address this evening.

Be on the lookout for members of Congress sporting the green ERA button. Your photographers will be grateful for the heads-up.

The House of Representatives will vote next week to remove the time limit on ERA ratification; a bill to remove this time limit has been introduced and is pending in the Senate.
